A new face

The other day I was reading a book about how to change simple items around your home to look a bit more rustic, now I am not a rustic type person when it comes to decorating my home. However I did love the idea to change items I already had on hand to meet my personal decorating style, in the book (I can not remember the name of the book, I should have written it down) it talked about changing a regular face clock to look more rustic by painting it red and changing the actual face of the clock to something more simple. Well I took that idea and put my own spin on it.
The only thing I changed was the face, because the color of the clock matches my kitchen already.
Here is the original Clock.

The back of the clock against the cardstock I am using for the new face.

To keep things simple I traced the original background onto the cardstock and used a stencil and pencil to write the numbers on the clock. I then filled in the hole I need for the hands and used a very sharp knife to cut it out.

Comparison.

The finished product.
It's not perfect but it will work for now until I decide to make another one.
