Why oh Why is it so hard to find well written children's books? Honestly out of every 10 books Katherine gets out at the library only 1 is truly worth reading, there maybe 2 or 3 that are so so. But most of them aren't even worth the paper they are printed on, the other day I was reading a book to Katherine and it didn't make sense whatsoever. I had to read each page twice because it was so poorly written not to mention the story didn't flow at all. So with that in mind I have decided to start writing short stories for Katherine and I am going to have her illustrate them for me.
I have had many different women as me why I buy my daughter used books from the library book sale, I do it for 2 reasons.
1. I get a whole grocery bag of books for a $1.00 (honestly who can beat that?)
2. Because I find well written books, that have a fantastic story line and are beautifully illustrated.

For instance several years ago I found "Taking Rides with Aunt Lucy" it is one of our favorites books to read.
