Going from One to Two

Well our baby is here, Zane Michael arrived on July 17th at 18:06, he weighed 9 lbs 8 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long.

After only having one child for 5 1/2 years, adding a second child to the mix is a bit of an adjustment for me. Especially when Zane needs to nurse and Katherine is having a meltdown over something is usually insignificant to me but to her it is the end of the world, how does a mother handle these situations?
It has been a learning curve thats for sure, each situation that arises gets handled differently. When Katherine really really needs me to fix her boo boo, I have realized I can put Zane down for a minute or two even though he is fussing so I can hold Katherine and make it all better for her. But like I said it is a learning process and each day it gets a little easier and Katherine finally understands that I love her just as much as I love Zane so she shouldn't feel left out or jealous of him or my time spent with him. Hopefully some of this will be worked out even more once my Moby wrap arrives in the next couple of days, so I can "carry" Zane around with me everywhere a little easier.

Well it is time to be off, I hear Zane starting to fuss after his little nap.
